Lecture on Bucks County Loyalists During the American Revolution

June 23, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free
Jeffrey Marshall

Were Bucks County Loyalists real patriots—or traitors? Heritage Conservancy President Jeffrey Marshall will present an illustrated lecture on June 23 at 3 PM on Loyalists who lived in Bucks County with an emphasis on those who lived near Washington Crossing.

Loyalists included more than royal officials and the upper crust—carpenters, tailors, and boatmen were also Loyalists. This talk will alter preconceived notions and demonstrate how Loyalists were every bit as American as their fellow subjects.

This free lecture is open to the public and will be held in the park Visitor Center, 1112 River Rd., Washington Crossing.

Marshall has more than 25 years of combined experience in land protection and historic preservation and is the author of Early History of Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County, PA.
