Celebrate Independence Day by bringing the whole family back in time—to July 4, 1776! At Washington Crossing Historic Park, you can watch living historians demonstrate their crafts and see a military encampment from noon to 4 PM on Thursday, July 4. A highlight of the day will be readings of the Declaration of Independence at 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Local Harvest Pizza and Rita's Ice will be onsite. Join us for a series of Living History programs that we will be conducting in the park on Fridays in April - June, and then Fridays and Saturdays in July - September. These programs will cover a variety of of topics surrounding the life of Soldiers and civilians during the American Revolution. Demonstrations will take place at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30pm. Reenactors and demonstrators will discuss the topic/activity they are portraying while also providing context for how this would effect life during the American Revolution.

Independence Day Celebration: Colonial Field Day

Round up your family or friends for a spirited colonial competition at Colonial Field Day on Saturday, July 6 from 10:00-11:30 AM and 1:00-2:30 PM. Try your hand at playing some popular games from the 18th century, including cup and ball, Jacob’s Ladder, hoop and stick, and more! As part of its annual Independence Day celebration, Washington Crossing Historic Park invites classic car owners to compete in the sixth annual Rebels & Redcoats Classic Car Show on Sunday, July 7 from 10 AM to 2 PM. Spectators need not register or purchase tickets thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Contemporary Corvette! This unique show features American, French, British and German cars, representing the four countries involved in the Revolutionary War. 18th Century Plants for the Modern Gardener
