Crossing the Delaware
This tour explores the site on the Delaware River where General Washington and his troops crossed the Delaware River on Christmas Day in 1776. You’ll learn about the 10 Crucial Days that turned the tide of the Revolutionary War, how Washington’s troops made it across the river, and what the crossing – and its aftermath – was like for the Continental Army and camp followers.
Regular Season (April-December)
Guided tours are offered Wednesday through Sunday. Cost is $7 per person. Tour tickets must be purchased online.

Winter (January-March)
In the winter, tours are available on Saturdays and Sundays only, weather permitting. Tours begin at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM. The Historic Village grounds are open every day from dawn to dusk for free self-guided tours.
The Thompson-Neely Farmstead and Grist Mill
The Thompson-Neely House served as a temporary regimental army hospital during Washington’s winter campaign of 1776-77.
Once the centerpiece of a working farm and milling complex, the house is surrounded by outbuildings typical of 18th century farm life, including a smokehouse, chicken coop, and a fully-functional grist mill.

In December and March, the Thompson-Neely House is open on Saturdays and Sundays only. In January and February, the Thompson-Neely House is closed.
Bowman’s Hill Tower
Rising 125 feet in the air, Bowman’s Hill Tower is a favorite destination for locals and tourists alike. On a clear day, the tower offers a stunning 14-mile bird’s-eye view of the surrounding countryside and Delaware River.
Regular Season (April-November)
Tickets to climb to the top of Bowman’s Hill Tower are $7 per person. Tickets must be purchased online.
The tower is open Wednesday through Sunday, weather permitting.
Winter (December-March)
The tower is open from December 26-29. In all other days in December and March, Bowman’s Hill Tower is open on Saturdays and Sundays only. In January and February, the tower is closed.
Discounts and Group Tours
A discounted combination ticket for all three locations is available for $15. Tickets must be purchased online.

Holiday Closings
The Visitor Center and park sites are closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day (January 1)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
- Columbus Day (second Monday in October)
- Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
- Friday after Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve: Park offices close at 1 PM
- New Year’s Eve: Park offices close at 1 PM
