The Friends of Washington Crossing Park is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the educational programs and historic preservation efforts of Washington Crossing Historic Park. Your tax-deductible gift helps us promote the park’s legacy, preserve colonial-era buildings and artifacts, and maintain the integrity of this important historic site. - $25 allows us to purchase a day’s worth of black powder for artillery demonstrations
- $50 covers annual seeds for one of the beds in our Hibbs House historical garden
- $100 helps us add a period fife to our fife and drum corps
- $250 funds a day of free educational programming for low-income students
- $500 provides period-accurate clothing for one of our historical interpreters
- $1,000 feeds the heritage breed sheep at the Thompson-Neely Farmstead for up to one year

Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC)
Friends of Washington Crossing Park, Inc. is a recognized in Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program authorizes tax credits for businesses that make contributions to educational improvement or scholarship organizations.
The EITC Program allows businesses to make charitable contributions based on the amount of Pennsylvania state taxes they pay. The program provides companies with a 75% tax credit for donations to an Educational Improvement Organization*. If the company commits to making the same donation for two consecutive years, the tax credit increases to 90%. A company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania can receive up to $750,000 in tax credits annually.
Bequests
Through a provision in your written and executed will, you can make a gift in the form of cash, securities, real estate or personal property. There are many types of bequests. Choose the one that best fits your needs and intentions.
Charitable Gift Annuities
You can turn underperforming assets (stock, cash in a savings account, CDs, savings bonds, etc.) into a gift to Friends of Washington Crossing Park that provides income to you. Your Charitable Gift Annuity will give you quarterly, fixed payments for life and tax benefits, too.
Retirement Accounts
Naming Friends of Washington Crossing Park as the beneficiary of a qualified retirement plan asset such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, Keogh, profit-sharing pension plan or other donor-advised funds, will accomplish a charitable goal while realizing significant tax savings.
Gifts of Stock
When you donate appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares instead of cash, you’ll receive charitable deductions at full, fair market value while reducing capital gains impact. Please note that Friends of Washington Crossing Park sells donated securities immediately upon receipt.
Charitable IRA Rollover
If you’re 70 ½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA to Friends of Washington Crossing Park. While there is no charitable deduction for a rollover gift, you do avoid the income tax on the donated portion of your required minimum distribution.
Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Designate Friends of Washington Crossing Park as a beneficiary to receive all or a portion of the balance of your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) through your fund administrator. You also can make a grant to us at any time from your donor-advised fund.
Gifts of Life Insurance
Name Friends of Washington Crossing Park as the beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy; donate an existing, paid-up life insurance policy you no longer need; or purchase a new life insurance policy and name Friends of Washington Crossing Park as the owner and beneficiary.
