Historical Interpreter Conference: Women’s Lives in Early America

Mrs. Boice’s Historie Academie will host a conference at Washington Crossing Historic Park on Women’s Lives in Early America: Research & Interpretation.

The conference will be held on Saturday, August 12, from 9 AM to 5 PM in the Visitor Center.

Azie Mira Dungey, a writer, producer and star in the satirical web series Ask a Slave, will deliver a keynote talk in the morning. Casual afternoon sessions will provide historical interpreters with the opportunity to learn about:

  • Answering difficult questions about the subject of American slavery
  • Continental Army camp-follower laundry
  • Roles of women in the British Detached Hospital
  • Continental Army petty sutlery
