Farmstead Friday July 2025
July 25 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join us the 4th Friday of each month from 11:00am – 3:00pm, this May to September to learn about life on the Thompson-Neely Farmstead. In the 18th Century much of Bucks County was cultivated farmland, with a wide variety of activities required to keep them running. From Animal care, to structure maintenance, to harvesting and preserving, each of these programs at the Thompson-Neely Farmstead will cover a different set of tasks that would be performed on the farm, so that you can see and experience what life was like for many people in the years surrounding the Revolution
July’s Program will have our demonstrators showing the making of Hay, including how it was mowed, dried, and stored. Hay was used as a feed stock, so that grazing animals could be fed even in the winter.
