Farmstead Friday May 2025
May 23 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join us the 4th Friday of each month from 11:00am – 3:00pm, this May to September to learn about life on the Thompson-Neely Farmstead. In the 18th Century much of Bucks County was cultivated farmland, with a wide variety of activities required to keep them running. From Animal care, to structure maintenance, to harvesting and preserving, each of these programs at the Thompson-Neely Farmstead will cover a different set of tasks that would be performed on the farm, so that you can see and experience what life was like for many people in the years surrounding the Revolution.
May’s Program will cover some of the various ‘chores’ that needed to be done on the farm during the year, such has Planting and cultivating the crops for that season, but also improvements such as building a new gate and forging a new latch.
