Hiking is a great way to improve your physical and mental health! Join the park naturalist for a quickly paced 2 mile hike along the trails of WCHP. Please keep in mind that these hikes are intended to maintain a quick hiking pace. Prepare yourself for the day by bringing a full water bottle, wearing sturdy shoes, and dressing for the weather! Delaware River Kayaking – August 2024

Kayak trips at WCHP are very popular. If you have been on a paddle recently, please consider allowing a month or two to pass before registering again. Team up for a fun paddle down the historic Delaware River! After an on-land strategy and safety session, participants will launch from the northernmost point of Washington Crossing Historic Park and kayak 5 miles to the Visitor Center. All equipment will be provided.  Space is limited and registration is required.  Participants must be 12 years or older. S’mores and Stories – August 2024

Pack a lawn chair, blanket, and bring your s’mores making ingredients as we celebrate National S’mores Day around the campfire! Enjoy a night of entertainment and education by PA State Park Naturalists as they share exciting and interactive nature with you. These programs are designed for toddlers ages 3-7 and build on children’s sense of wonder about nature, inviting them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Girl Scouts Love State Parks: Natural Paper Making

Join in on the fun, pack a picnic lunch, and spend the afternoon at Washington Crossing Historic Park as we discover natural papermaking. Learn how to make paper from some of the plants in your backyard during this two hour program. Scouts will have the opportunity to learn certain plant identification, how to sustainably harvest native plants, and will go through the process of making paper that they’ll be able to take home!
