AT CAPACITY – Delaware River Kayaking
This event is at capacity. Thank you for your interest! Kayaks at WCHP are very popular. If you have been on a paddle recently, please consider allowing a month or two to pass before registering again. On Friday, October 27 from noon to 3 PM, team up for a fun paddle down the historic Delaware River! After an on-land strategy and safety session, participants will launch from the northernmost point of Washington Crossing Historic Park and kayak 5 miles to the Visitor Center. Hiking is a great way to improve your physical and mental health! On Tuesday, October 31 at 10 AM, join the park naturalist for a quickly paced 2 mile hike along the trails of WCHP. Please keep in mind that these hikes are intended to maintain a quick hiking pace. Prepare yourself for the day by bringing a full water bottle, wearing sturdy shoes, and dressing for the weather! Mornings are your best opportunity to experience the thrilling world of birdwatching and listening! On Thursday, November 2 from 9 to 11 AM, join the park naturalist for a slowly guided walk as we look and listen for migratory avian friends. It’s movie night! On Friday, November 10 from 7 to 8 PM, gather your family together and join us in the theater of the Visitor Center for two short nature films produced by the PA Game Commission. The first film will highlight the history of Elk in Pennsylvania and is approximately 13 minutes. The second film on Pennsylvania Bald Eagles is about 20 minutes. This program is free.
