Christmas Bird Count
December 21 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Calling birders of all experience levels! The National Audubon Society’s Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is the perfect way to spend time outdoors! The CBC is a census of birds in the Western Hemisphere, performed annually in the winter by volunteer birdwatchers. On Tuesday, December 21 from 9:00 AM-noon, team up with the Park Naturalist for a morning of observation throughout WCHP and help count our avian friends!
Can’t make the program? No worries! Check out our Bird Bingo card below. This is a great way to begin your birding adventures at home on your own time. The bird bingo card pairs as a field guide with your phone!
To participate, print your bird bingo card on both sides of one piece of paper, take it with you on your next hike or walk! Be sure to use your phone to scan the QR codes on the card. You will be able to hear bird calls, see videos, and view migration maps. Be sure to share your results with us! To get your WCHP Bird Bingo card, click HERE.
