Stargazing at the Park
July 21, 2017 @ 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Come out to the park after dark and take a tour of the night sky using our telescopes. Potential observing targets include the planets Jupiter and Saturn, as well as galaxies, star clusters, or nebulae. We’ll also identify some summer constellations and bright stars.
Feel free to bring your own telescopes if you have them!
This program is dependent on clear skies and will be cancelled in the event of rain or significant cloud cover. Click here to see if the program is still on (we’ll make the call no later than 6 PM on July 21).
Please meet in the open grassy area across from the Visitor Center. Feel free to arrive and depart at any time during the session. Please be mindful of headlights when parking and use flashlights sparingly to preserve night vision (use red light if available).
