Tea in the Garden
May 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Tea in the Garden is an event for adults and their children to learn a little history while having a lot of fun out in our historic garden. Children ages 7-12 will learn about our favorite 18th century herbs and have the joyful opportunity to create their own tea and drink it in 18th century fashion. Kids will receive either a mob cap bonnet or tricorne patriot hat to wear through the tea party and take home as a souvenir. They will also leave with a small blend of herbs to share with the rest of the family at home.
Enjoy an hour and a half outside in our beautiful garden creating and drinking organic herbal teas. Keep cool by eating cucumber and butter sandwiches like a true Colonist. A small selfie station will be available for you to use your own phone and to take a picture of your tiny colonist. Parents or guardians must accompany children.
There are a maximum of 16 spots available. The cost for 1 Adult with 1 child is $40, 2 Adults with 1 child is $60, plus $10 for every additional child. All proceeds from the Garden Days Program Series go back into the Historical Garden Program run by the non-profit Friends of Washington Crossing Park.
