Hiking is a great way to improve your physical and mental health! Join the park naturalist for a quickly paced 2 mile hike along the trails of WCHP. Please keep in mind that these hikes are intended to maintain a quick hiking pace. Prepare yourself for the day by bringing a full water bottle, wearing sturdy shoes, and dressing for the weather! Join in on the fun, pack a picnic lunch, and spend the afternoon at Washington Crossing Historic Park as we discover natural papermaking. Learn how to make paper from some of the plants in your backyard during this two hour program. Scouts will have the opportunity to learn certain plant identification, how to sustainably harvest native plants, and will go through the process of making paper that they’ll be able to take home! Learn about the Crossing during the time of day it actually occurred by taking a Lantern Tour of Washington Crossing Historic Park this fall! Tours will take place every Friday and Saturday in October at 6:30 and 7:30 PM. They will include a living history presentation on the conditions the men would have faced the night of the Crossing. This tour lasts about 1 hour and covers the conditions and history of the crossing, as well as the three battles that follow it, the battles of Trenton and the Battle of Princeton.
