Want to “unplug” your kids from the modern world? Send them back in time at our Colonial Days Mini Camp! Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA) makes for a great educational (and fun!) trip! For 2024 the park is offering a special program specifically designed for elementary-age students ages 7-12. This two day fun and educational camp will be offered on July 29-30 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Washington Crossing Historic Park at the Thompson Neely Farmstead. Drop off is from 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM. Hiking is a great way to improve your physical and mental health! Join the park naturalist for a quickly paced 2 mile hike along the trails of WCHP. Please keep in mind that these hikes are intended to maintain a quick hiking pace. Prepare yourself for the day by bringing a full water bottle, wearing sturdy shoes, and dressing for the weather! Kayak trips at WCHP are very popular. If you have been on a paddle recently, please consider allowing a month or two to pass before registering again. Team up for a fun paddle down the historic Delaware River! After an on-land strategy and safety session, participants will launch from the northernmost point of Washington Crossing Historic Park and kayak 5 miles to the Visitor Center.
