Step back in time and prepare a meal like an 18th-century cook! At this hands-on cooking class on Sunday, March 31, you’ll learn the basic techniques of open hearth cooking in the Hibbs House, located in the Historic Village at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Please arrive at 9:45 AM. The ending time will be about 3 PM.

We’ll prepare a seasonal 18th-century meal on the hearth and enjoy the meal together at the end of the class. Please note that the food may include ingredients such as wheat, eggs, and meat, and the class will involve some lifting of kettles and water buckets.

What to Bring

You may want to bring an apron, your own knife, and a drinking vessel. Please dress appropriately and do not wear open-toed shoes or shorts.
