Binocular Basics for Beginning Birders

June 10, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Join the park’s environmental educator for an introduction to using binoculars in the field on June 10 at 2 PM. Learn how to properly adjust binoculars to your eyesight and see why they have become a favorite tool of birders of all experience levels. Meet at the Greene Pavilion to practice with binoculars, and then take a short walk on the Delaware Canal Towpath to spot some birds.

We have binoculars available, but you may also bring your own. Please also bring bottled water and sun protection as needed.

For more information, contact Maggie Wallner at mwallner@pa.gov.
