Colonial Crafts and Photo Booth
Bring your whole family to the Washington Crossing Historic Park Visitor Center on March 24 and you'll leave with your next Facebook profile picture! The Friends of Washington Crossing Park will host a morning of colonial crafts and a chance to dress in colonial-era clothing and pose for a group photo with your family. This event lasts an hour and will be held at 10 AM, 11 AM and noon. Event capacity is 30 children for each time slot. To register your group, please call the Visitor Center at 215-493-4076. Seed-Planting Workshop
Bring the kids to Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA) to plant seeds for heirloom lavender in pots of their own design. Pots, seeds, special starter soil and watering cans will be provided. This workshop will be led by Blanche Gottel, "The Plant Lady of Bucks County." The workshop is limited to 30 children. To register your child, please call the park at 215-493-4076. Music on the Riverbank
Looking for an excuse to get outside on a beautiful spring evening? On Saturday, May 25 at 6 PM, bring a picnic dinner down to the riverfront near the Visitor Center for a free live jazz concert at Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA). No registration is required. Pulitzer Prize winning author and historian Rick Atkinson will appear at Washington Crossing Historic Park on Friday, May 31, at 7:30 PM for a lecture, Q&A, and signing of his new book, The British Are Coming: The War for America, Lexington to Princeton, 1775-1777. This special event is co-hosted by the non-profit Friends of Washington Crossing Park and The David Library of the American Revolution, both of which will receive a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales. Yoga on the Riverbank
Grab a yoga mat and a bottle of water and enjoy a riverside yoga class led by vinyasa yoga instructor Veronica Jazz on June 22 at 10 AM. All ability levels are welcome. No registration is required. Independence Day Celebration: Colonial Field Day and Free Tours
Colonial Field Day Round up your family or friends for a morning of spirited colonial competition! Bark in the Park
Dog lovers unite! On August 17 at 10 AM, throw a leash on your four-legged friend and join the Friends of Washington Crossing Park for a mile-long group walk through the park. The first 100 dogs will also receive a mini tri-corner hat to wear. Stargazing at Bowman’s Hill Tower (FULL)
