George Washington’s Birthday Party

Bring the whole family to help George Washington celebrate his 287th birthday on Sunday, February 17, from 10 AM to 2 PM at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Admission is free! Various children’s activities will be offered in the park buildings and Visitor Center. At 2 PM, visitors will sing Happy Birthday to George and enjoy cake, donated by The Caketeria in Newtown, that he will cut with his sword.     Thanks to The Philadelphia Contributionship for supporting this special event. The Friends of Washington Crossing Park will host a morning of colonial crafts and a chance to dress in colonial-era clothing and pose for a group photo with your family. Seed-Planting Workshop

On Saturday, May 25 at 6 PM, bring a picnic dinner down to the riverfront near the Visitor Center for a free live jazz concert at Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA). No registration is required. Dog lovers unite! On August 17 at 10 AM, throw a leash on your four-legged friend and join the Friends of Washington Crossing Park for a mile-long group walk through the park. This event is at capacity and registration has closed.   Join the Friends of Washington Crossing Park for a free nighttime tour of the Historic Village on October 18.
