Birding Field Trip

This program will be held off site at Core Creek Park and is designed for anyone who has participated in past Guided Bird Walks at Washington Crossing Historic Park or for anyone who already possesses the basic birding skills.  Topics such as basic bird identification through sound and sight will be discussed. Binoculars can be available upon request, but participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own. Wheat and Sheep Day 2024

On Saturday, April 20 from 10 AM to 4 PM, watch as the Thompson-Neely sheep are shorn of their wool and tour the grist mill at this family friendly event. This limited event will include a trip to the barn for a hand shearing presentation as well as period demonstrations and tours of our historic Grist Mill. Bluebird Bonanza

During this program participants will have the opportunity to learn about Eastern Bluebirds & the other cavity-nesting species that call Washington Crossing Home. After a short walk and quick look inside an active cavity nest, participants will have the opportunity to construct their own nesting box to take home!
