Nature for Toddlers: Spring Bash

These programs are designed for toddlers ages 3-7 and build on children’s sense of wonder about nature, inviting them to explore wildlife and the world around them. March Book Club: Noble Volunteers: The British Soldiers Who Fought the American Revolution

Join the park naturalist for a slowly guided walk as we look and listen for migratory avian friends. Topics such as basic bird identification through sound and sight will be discussed. Full Moon Hike

Come join us on this moderately paced ~3 mile towpath trek to view the (almost) full Worm Moon as it rises in the east. After meeting at the Buckstone Farm, we will chat about the upcoming solar eclipse and walk south along the towpath. We will listen for owls, keep an eye out for other crepuscular critters, and check out winter constellations. Please bring water, wear sturdy shoes & bring a flashlight or headlamp in case of cloud cover. Program will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather or hazardous driving conditions. Theater Night: Winged Migration

The historic Newtown Theatre will screen Winged Migration on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:30 PM. This documentary screening is co-hosted by Lower Makefield Township and Newtown Township Bird Towns and Matt Truesdale, an environmental education specialist at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Weekly Living History Programs

Join us for a series of Living History programs that we will be conducting in the park on Fridays in April - June, and then Fridays and Saturdays in July - September. These programs will cover a variety of of topics surrounding the life of Soldiers and civilians during the American Revolution. Demonstrations will take place at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30pm. Reenactors and demonstrators will discuss the topic/activity they are portraying while also providing context for how this would effect life during the American Revolution.

Eclipse Party
